WATER SUM – Conferences, Workshops and Fieldwork

This gallery brings together photographs from conferences, workshops and fieldwork organised within WATER SUM — Sustainable Use of Transboundary Water Resources and Water Security Management. The project supported cooperation on water challenges in the Middle East and North Africa, focusing on Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan.

The photographs capture opportunities for dialogue, shared learning and practical engagement with water management challenges. These activities connected institutions, experts and local stakeholders around integrated water resources management, climate adaptation and community water security.

Implemented by the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) with funding from Sweden through Sida, WATER SUM combined regional knowledge exchange with local action planning. As Project Director, I oversaw implementation quality and supported coordination among the project team, beneficiaries and donor.
