AdriBioPro2019 – Opening Session and Conference Highlights
The opening session and conference highlights introduce the International Conference “Adriatic Biodiversity Protection – AdriBioPro2019”, held in Kotor, Montenegro, on 7–10 April 2019.
Organised by the Institute of Marine Biology, University of Montenegro, within the MonteAqua project, the conference brought together more than 100 participants from 16 countries, with 92 presentations across nine thematic areas.
Topics ranged from marine and freshwater biodiversity conservation to pollution prevention, invasive species, marine biotechnology and the sustainable use of marine resources. The event strengthened connections between researchers, policymakers and practitioners, supporting closer cooperation across the Adriatic region.
