EXCHANGE at the International Economic Fair Mostar 2022
On 5 April 2022, I joined Branka Pestorić and Aleksandar Joksimović at the Aquarium Boka stand at the International Economic Fair Mostar 2022.
The fair provided an opportunity to promote the results of EXCHANGE — Explore Cross-border Aquatic Biodiversity, including the newly launched Blue Pass e-guide and the joint Blue Pass tourism ticket.
These complementary tools connected information about the region’s natural and cultural heritage with opportunities to visit destinations across three countries.
Four routes across three countries
Launched for Android and iOS, the Blue Pass e-guide introduced visitors to four thematic routes:
Dubrovnik and Aquarium Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Kotor and Aquarium Boka, Montenegro.
Mostar Aqua Path, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Hutovo Blato Nature Park Aqua Path, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Each section followed a common structure covering natural heritage, cultural heritage, the thematic route and transport information. This organisation helped users navigate the content while discovering the distinctive features of each destination.
Connecting the guide with the Blue Pass ticket
Alongside the application, Blue Pass was presented as a joint ticket enabling discounted visits to the four thematic routes.
The guide supported discovery and trip planning, while the ticket provided a practical connection between the participating attractions. Together, they translated the project’s cross-border cooperation into an offer visitors could use.

Bringing project results to a wider audience
The presentation brought together the work of EXCHANGE’s five partners: the University of Dubrovnik’s Institute for Marine and Coastal Research, the Tourism Organisation of Kotor, the University of Montenegro’s Institute of Marine Biology, the Tourist Board of Herzegovina–Neretva Canton and Hutovo Blato Nature Park.
My participation at the Aquarium Boka stand formed part of this joint promotion, connecting the Kotor attraction with the wider Blue Pass offer and its focus on aquatic biodiversity.
